BETA 1,3 GLUCANS: Beta 1,3 Glucans is derived from the cell wall of fungi and yeasts and is known to stimulate macrophage activation, which in turn stimulates the immune system to act against pathogenic bugs, fungi and -. Studies show that bone marrow production is also enhanced by Beta 1,3 Glucans.
VITAMIN C AS ESTER-C: Studies show Ester-C intake increases Vitamin C and white blood cell levels in the body. BERRY BLEND: Elderberry extract, blueberry extract and acai powder have all demonstrated significant antioxidant activity. In research, berries have been proven to have anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
ZINC: Adequate zinc levels are vital for the functioning of the immune system. Even a slight deficiency of zinc reduces the ability to ward off infection.
SELENIUM: Research demonstrates that low selenium status is associated with weakened function of the thymus (the master gland of immunity) and suppressed white blood-cell activity.
COPPER: Copper is a component of the enzyme superoxide dismutase, which is a powerful antioxidant, produced to protect against free radical damage. It is involved in the maintenance of both innate and acquired brances of immunity.
VITAMIN D3: Almost all cells of the immune system have Vitamin D receptors, suggesting that they require vitamin D to function effectively. Vitamin D is also involved in the production of anti-microbial proteins that fight bugs, bacteria and fungi. In addition, T-cells (which destroy pathogens, bugs and bacteria) require Vitamin D in order to become active.
