Krill Oil contains the beneficial omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, and a good level of the sought after astaxanthin. The EPA and DHA in krill oil are bound to phospholipids, which means they are rapidly and readily uptaken into cell membranes, more efficiently than EPA and DHA on triglyceride carriers, such as in fish oils.
