Clipper started in Dorset in 1984 and became the first tea company in the UK to sell Fairtrade tea. Two things still mark them out: everything is Fairtrade certified, and the tea bags are unbleached and free from plastic — a detail most drinkers never thought about until it turned out that the majority of tea bags were heat-sealed with polypropylene. Clipper's are not.
The Clipper range at Quickvit

Organic, Fairtrade and plastic-free
Fairtrade certification means a guaranteed minimum price to the growers plus a premium the community decides how to spend. The organic certification covers how the tea is grown. The unbleached, non-GM bag material is Clipper's own, and the bags are home compostable — worth knowing if you put your food waste out rather than in the bin.
Prices run from around £1.89 for a standard box up to £52 for catering packs and gift chests. We also stock the wooden display boxes and tea chests, which are sold empty.
