What is the difference between the green and purple Marigold?
Green is the original Swiss Vegetable Bouillon. Purple is the reduced salt version. Both are vegetable based; the vegan and organic versions are separate tubs again.
Is bouillon the same as stock?
In practice yes – bouillon is simply the French word. What is in the tub here is a powdered stock you make up with hot water.
Are these suitable for vegans?
Many are, including the vegan Marigold and much of the Kallo range. Check the individual tub. Freja's bone broths are not.
Is the 2kg tub worth it?
Per litre of stock, considerably. It is a large tub, so keep it sealed and dry and use a clean dry spoon – damp is what spoils stock powder.
