Are these pure essential oils?
Yes — they are sold as single, named essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils. The botanical name is given on the label.
Can I apply them directly to skin?
No. Essential oils must be diluted in a carrier oil before any skin contact. Follow the dilution guidance on the product or from a qualified aromatherapist.
How do I use them in a diffuser?
A few drops in water is usually enough — more is not better, and a small amount in a well-ventilated room is the sensible approach. Follow your diffuser's instructions.
How long do essential oils keep?
Most keep well for a couple of years stored in their dark bottles, tightly closed, away from heat and light. Citrus oils have a noticeably shorter life.
Are they safe around pets?
Not all of them. Cats in particular are sensitive to several common oils. Take qualified advice before diffusing around animals, and never apply oils to a pet.
