Herbatint is an ammonia-free permanent hair colour made in Italy, with a wide numbered shade range from 1N Black through to the blondes, including 5N Light Chestnut. Free UK delivery on orders over £40 from Quickvit.
Herbatint is an Italian permanent hair colour that has been made since the 1970s. It is formulated without ammonia and uses herbal extracts alongside the colourants, which is why it sits on a health store shelf rather than a supermarket one.
Shades are numbered on the standard convention, which makes reordering straightforward once you know your number. Each kit contains the gel colourant, developer and aftercare.
The permanent range runs from 1N Black and 3N Dark Chestnut through the browns and chestnuts up to the blondes, with N shades for natural results and other series for ash, gold and copper tones.
Lower numbers are darker, higher numbers lighter. Shades can be mixed to fine-tune a result, which is common practice with this range.
