Are no-added-sugar spreads sugar free?
No. They contain the sugars naturally present in fruit and are often sweetened with concentrated fruit juice. There is simply no cane sugar added on top - check the nutrition panel for the total.
How long do they keep once opened?
The jar gives the maker's figure, and lower-sugar spreads need refrigerating and using faster than a traditional high-sugar jam. Sugar acts as a preservative.
Are the chocolate spreads palm oil free?
Several are, Biona among them, and it is stated on the pack. It is worth checking, since palm oil is the default in most mass-market chocolate spreads.
Do you sell vegan spreads?
Yes - Tartex and Bonsan cover the savoury side, and most of the fruit spreads are vegan anyway. The filters above will narrow it down.
