Pancracio are a Spanish chocolate maker from Cádiz, known as much for their packaging as their chocolate — mini bars, nut clusters and caramelised nuts in boxes designed to be given as presents.

The clusters pair whole nuts with dark, milk or white chocolate. The mini bars are single-serving sizes, useful for trying several without committing to a full tablet, and the caramelised nuts are sold plain in small boxes.

For something less sweet, the Cocoa Nibs with Fleur de Sel are bitter and salty rather than confectionery, and the Raspberry & Roses Dark Chocolate is the most floral of the bars.

The higher-percentage dark chocolates generally are, though they are produced alongside milk chocolate. Check the allergen information if you have a milk allergy.

How should chocolate be stored?

Cool, dry and away from strong smells, ideally 15–18°C. Avoid the fridge, which causes a pale bloom and dulls the snap.

Is it suitable for gifting?

That is rather the point — the boxes and tins are designed for it and need no extra wrapping.
