Sun & Seed makes organic nut and seed butters alongside cold-pressed oils. Cold pressing means the oil is extracted without heat, which preserves more of the flavour of the seed.
The range is certified organic with short ingredients lists, and it leans towards seeds as much as nuts — hemp, pumpkin and sunflower feature as prominently as almond and cashew.
The butters cover peanut, cashew and hemp seed, in both smooth and raw versions.
The oils are cold pressed and intended for finishing rather than frying — hemp seed, walnut and pumpkin seed oils are best used over salads, vegetables or soup, where the flavour is not cooked away.
We have sold wholefoods since 1988 and keep the seed butters and speciality oils in alongside the everyday lines.

Cold-pressed seed oils have low smoke points and are not suited to frying — heat spoils both the flavour and the oil. Use them cold, drizzled over food after cooking.
Keep them somewhere cool and dark, and refrigerate after opening if the label says so. These oils have a shorter life than olive oil, so buy sizes you will get through. Nut and seed butters separate naturally; stir before use.
FAQ
Can I cook with the oils?
Not really — cold-pressed seed oils have low smoke points and are meant for finishing rather than frying. Use them cold, over food.
Why has my nut butter separated?
Because there are no emulsifiers in it. Stir the oil back through before use.
Are there nut-free options?
Yes — the hemp, pumpkin and sunflower seed butters. Check the label for shared-line information if the allergy is severe.
Do the oils need refrigerating?
Several do once opened. Check the individual bottle, and keep them out of light either way.
Is everything organic?
Yes, the range is certified organic, shown on each label.
