How long does a natural brush or pouf last?
Several months with normal use. Rinse after each use and let it dry properly — leaving it wet in the shower is what shortens its life.
What is dry brushing?
Brushing dry skin with a stiff brush before showering, usually towards the heart. Keep it gentle — it should not scratch — and avoid broken or irritated skin.
Can these be composted?
The plant-fibre and wooden parts can. Remove any metal or synthetic fittings first.
Sisal or ramie — which should I choose?
Sisal is firm and exfoliating; ramie is softer and better for lathering soap. If you want one for everyday washing, choose ramie.
