Is fluoride-free toothpaste as effective?
NHS advice is that fluoride is the most effective agent against decay. Fluoride-free products clean perfectly well but do not offer that specific protection. Your dentist is the right person to advise on which suits you.
Why doesn't it foam?
Because there is no SLS in it. Foam does not clean your teeth - the brush does - but it takes a few days to stop feeling odd.
How do toothpaste tablets work?
Chew one until it goes chalky, then brush as normal with a damp brush. The packaging is glass or card rather than a laminated plastic tube.
Is there a children's range?
Yes - Jack n Jill in particular, in milder flavours and children's fluoride levels. Check with your dentist on fluoride strength for your child's age.
