The most common chemotypes are "Thymol" and "Carvacrol," which contain high concentrations of toxic phenols reaching up to 60% Thymol and Carvacrol. Absolute Aromas specifically offers Sweet Thyme, a gentler alternative that maintains therapeutic benefits while containing a maximum 3% concentration of these components. This makes it sweeter, less toxic, and less irritant compared to standard Thymol and Carvacrol chemotypes.
