Ayurvediq Wellness
Organic Cayenne Pepper 60 capsules

ONE-LINER
Genuinely hot. Start with one capsule, and take it with food.

SUMMARY
Organic cayenne pepper at 500mg a capsule, the whole pepper dried and ground with skin and seed together. Ayurveda places it with the heating spices, the ones used in small amounts to bring warmth rather than taken freely. It is genuinely hot, so start with one capsule and take it with food. Certified organic by the Soil Association.

LONG DESCRIPTION
Cold hands, cold feet, and a body that takes half the morning to get going. If that is you, read the next bit carefully.
Cayenne is one of the things Ayurveda reaches for in that situation, and it reaches for it sparingly. In the tradition it belongs with the heating spices, the ones used in small amounts to bring warmth rather than taken freely.

How hot it is
So this one comes with a warning rather than a pitch. Cayenne is a chilli, Capsicum annuum, and 500mg at 40.000+ heat units is a real dose. Take it with food and start with a single capsule.

A newer arrival than most
Chillies arrived in India from the Americas around five hundred years ago, which makes cayenne a much newer arrival than most of our range. The tradition calls it straightforwardly hot, and it arrives that way.

The whole pepper, skin and seed
The whole pepper is dried and ground, skin and seed included, exactly as it comes. One ingredient, and the capsule that holds it.

Warming spices tend to suit short stretches with a break afterwards rather than continuous use.

Ayurvediq began on a turmeric farm in India. Talia and Graham went out to see where it grew, came back with a good deal more than turmeric, and the range grew from there. We still work with the same growing communities. If you would like to know more about a particular herb, or which of these might suit you, write to us at support@ayurvediq.com. Where these come from is the part we know inside out.
