This is borage oil rather than evening primrose, and that is the whole point of it.

Each capsule supplies borage oil, also called starflower oil, with vitamin E as DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate. Borage seed oil is naturally far higher in gamma linolenic acid than evening primrose oil, typically around four times the concentration, so a single capsule delivers what several primrose capsules would.

The capsule shell is modified maize starch, glycerol and carrageenan rather than gelatin.

If you are comparing this against an evening primrose product, compare the GLA figures rather than the oil weight, since the two are not equivalent gram for gram. That single comparison is usually what decides between them.
