What is D-Mannose?

D-Mannose is an isomer of glucose and not glucose and has almost no discernible metabolic activity (ingested D-Mannose goes through you and ends up in the urine). Mannose is absorbed eight times more slowly than glucose; and, when ingested, it is not converted to glycogen or stored in the liver, but instead, Mannose goes directly to the blood-stream from the upper gastrointestinal tract.

D-mannose is effective because it attaches to E. coli bacteria, causing them to stick to each other and preventing them from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract. The bacteria can then easily be eliminated from the body during urination.

Why add Organic Prebiotic Agave Inulin?

Prebiotic Inulin helps maintain positive intestinal flora which can help reduce the proliferation of E.coli bacteria. We only use the highest quality Organic Inulin to ensure maximum purity.

Why add Organic Cranberry powder?

Unlike cranberry juices and concentrates, Organic whole cranberry powder has no added sugar and naturally contains a high level of PAC (proanthocyanidins) However researchers now believe flavonols and “newly discovered” xyloglucan oligosaccharides found in “whole” cranberry’s has an improved ability to block bacteria's adhesion to the bladder wall this is due to its combination of compounds working together rather than to a single component which may be lost through PAC only extracted supplements.

Magnesium & Zinc

E.Coli along with other bacteria multiply dramatically in an acid environment. Magnesium and Zinc help reduce acidity, while Zinc also helps maintain an electrolyte balance.
