Coloclear Extra is a fibre blend built on flaxseed, with herbs and a live culture alongside.

Three capsules supply 900mg of brown flaxseed, 150mg of fennel seed, 150mg of fenugreek seed, 90mg of liquorice root, 60mg of cloves, 30mg of aloe vera extract at 200:1, and 45 million CFU of Bacillus coagulans.

Bacillus coagulans is a spore-forming organism, which is why it can sit in a capsule at room temperature alongside dry botanicals without refrigeration, unlike most probiotic strains.

Higher Nature's directions are three capsules, one to three times a day, taken before a meal with a large glass of water. Fibre supplements need the water; taking them dry is uncomfortable and counterproductive.

At three capsules once a day this pack lasts two months; taken three times a day it lasts twenty days, so the 180 size is worth having if you use it regularly.

Contains liquorice. Not suitable during pregnancy. If you have high blood pressure, note that liquorice is not recommended, and speak to your doctor first.

Three capsules typically provide:

Brown flaxseed (linum usitatissimum) powder, capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, fennel seed (foeniculum vulgare) powder, fenugreek seed (trigonella foenumgraecum) powder, antioxidant: mixed tocopherols, liquorice root (glycyrrhiza glabra) powder, aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) extract, cloves (syzygium aromaticum) powder, anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide; bacillus coagulans.

Adults take 3 capsules 1-3 times a day before a meal and with a large glass of water.
