This is an instant ginseng tea rather than a leaf or a capsule, and it dissolves in hot or cold water.

Each sachet contains lactose and dextrose with Korean ginseng extract at 10 percent. Korean ginseng, Panax ginseng, is the variety traditionally used, and it is distinct from American or Siberian ginseng despite the shared name.

Dissolve one packet, a spoonful or two, in a cup of hot or cold water, adding sweetener or honey if you want it sweeter.

Working in cold water as well as hot is genuinely useful, and unusual for a herbal tea.

Note the base: lactose and dextrose make up most of the sachet, so this is a sweetened drink with ginseng in it rather than a concentrated supplement. Compare it against a capsule if you are after the extract alone.

Contains lactose, so it is not suitable if you are lactose intolerant.

Not suitable during pregnancy.
