This is a glycerite rather than a tincture, which is what makes it suitable for people who avoid alcohol.

The extract is certified organic echinacea root, Echinacea purpurea, from the USA, used fresh and undried, at an extraction rate of 280mg of fresh herb per 0.7ml. The base is organic vegetable glycerine and distilled water.

Root rather than aerial parts is the distinction worth knowing. Echinacea products are made from root, leaf, flower or a mix, and they are not interchangeable. Herb Pharm harvest the roots in autumn, when the plant has drawn its resources back down into them.

Shake the bottle, then add a squeeze of the dropper bulb into a small glass of water or juice, two to five times a day, between meals.

Glycerine gives it a mild sweetness, which makes it considerably easier to give to children than an alcohol extract.

Not suitable if you have an autoimmune condition without medical advice.
