This is the chewable version of Proven's children's formula, for children old enough to chew a tablet.

Each chewable tablet supplies 12.5 billion CFU of the Lab4 live bacteria consortium, 50mg of vitamin C and 200mg of fructooligosaccharides, sweetened with xylitol. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Xylitol rather than sugar is a deliberate choice for a tablet children chew and hold in the mouth.

Note two differences from the sachet version: the tablet has no vitamin D3, and its FOS content is 200mg against 1000mg. If vitamin D matters to you, the sachets are the ones to buy.

Proven's directions are one chewable tablet daily with food, chewed rather than swallowed whole, which is worth pointing out to a child used to swallowing tablets.

Thirty tablets covers a month.

Xylitol is toxic to dogs, so keep these somewhere a pet cannot reach them.

A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.
