This is a single-herb tincture rather than a blend: organic ginger rhizome and nothing else added for flavour.

Herb Pharm use fully mature rhizome, shade-dried after harvest, sourced from India, China, Indonesia and Peru. The extraction rate is 140mg of herb per 0.7ml, in a base of organic cane alcohol at 76 to 86 percent with distilled water, at a herb to menstruum ratio of 1:5.

Shade-drying rather than kiln-drying is slower and more expensive, and it is the sort of detail that separates a considered extract from a commodity one.

Their directions are one squeeze of the dropper bulb in a small glass of water or juice, two to five times a day, ideally between meals.

The alcohol content is high, so this is not suitable if you avoid alcohol. The alcohol-free elderberry in the same range uses glycerine instead.

Not suitable during pregnancy without advice. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.
