This is a single-strain liquid for infants, given as drops rather than a powder to be mixed.

It supplies Lactobacillus reuteri NCIMB 30351 at 200 million CFU. Single-strain products are less common than blends, and the strain code identifies exactly which one it is rather than just the species. HealthAid note that the count was incorporated at manufacture, so it declines over shelf life; that is honest labelling rather than a shortcoming.

Their directions are five drops once a day for infants and children up to three years, and five drops for anyone from four years upward.

A liquid suits infants for the obvious reason, and the dropper makes the amount easy to judge.

Store as directed on the pack, and use within the period stated after opening.

Speak to your health visitor, midwife or doctor before giving any supplement to an infant. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.

Infants and children up to 3 years of age: Give 5 drops, once a day. Adults, Adolescents and Children 4 years or older: Take orally 5 drops, one to three times per day, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not allow the dropper to come in contact with any liquid, including saliva. If antibiotics are being taken, take at least 2-3 hours before or after antibiotics. Do not exceed recommended daily intake unless advised by a suitably qualified person.
