Organic Aduki (adzuki) Beans are small, deep-red beans with a naturally sweet, nutty flavour, widely used in Japanese and East Asian cooking — from savoury rice dishes to sweet red bean paste. They're just as at home in Western-style stews, salads and grain bowls, holding their shape well once cooked. Being a dried pulse, they need a bit of forward planning: soak for at least 6-8 hours or overnight, then simmer until tender, usually 45-60 minutes. Certified organic, vegan and gluten-free, with no added sugar, they're a straightforward way to add plant protein and fibre to a meat-free diet. Once cooked, aduki beans keep well in the fridge for a few days, making them handy for batch-cooking. Store the dried beans in an airtight container in a cool, dry cupboard.
