Organic Black Sesame Seeds have a deeper, more robust, slightly bitter flavour than white sesame seeds, along with a striking dark colour that makes them a popular garnish in Japanese and Chinese cooking. Scatter them over stir-fries, rice dishes and salads for both flavour and visual contrast, toast them lightly in a dry pan to bring out extra depth, or grind them into a black tahini for a bolder twist on the classic condiment. Certified organic, vegan and gluten-free, with no added sugar, they suit most plant-based and refined-sugar-free diets. Because whole sesame seeds pass through the body largely undigested, grinding or toasting them first helps release more of their flavour and nutrients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
