Organic Chestnut Flour is milled from dried, roasted chestnuts, giving a naturally sweet, slightly earthy flavour that's a traditional ingredient in Italian and French baking, particularly cakes, pancakes and the classic Tuscan flatbread known as castagnaccio. Its natural sweetness means recipes using chestnut flour often need less added sugar than usual, and its distinctive flavour pairs particularly well with chocolate, pears and rosemary. Being naturally gluten-free, it's a useful specialist flour for gluten-free baking, though its dense texture usually works best blended with other flours or used in recipes specifically developed for it. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar in the flour itself. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, or the fridge to extend freshness.
