Organic Coarse Oatmeal is stone-ground from whole oats to a chunky texture, giving traditional Scottish-style porridge its characteristically hearty, textured bite rather than the smoother consistency of rolled oats. It's the preferred choice for slow-cooked, stovetop porridge, and also works well in savoury dishes like traditional oatcakes, haggis-style stuffings, or as a coating for fried food. Because the grain is only coarsely ground, it takes a little longer to cook than rolled oats — simmering gently with water or milk gives the best, creamiest result. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar, it's a genuinely traditional way to make porridge. As with all oat products, there's a small risk of gluten cross-contact unless specifically certified gluten-free. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
