Organic Fine Oatmeal is stone-ground from whole oats to a smooth, almost flour-like texture, making it a good choice for a creamy, quick-cooking porridge or for use in baking where a smoother texture is wanted than rolled or coarse oats would give. It's a traditional ingredient in Scottish oatcakes and skirlie, and also works well as a coating for fried fish or as a thickener in soups and broths. Its finer grind means it cooks faster than coarse oatmeal, making it a handy option on busier mornings. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar, it's a versatile store-cupboard staple. As with all oat products, there's a small risk of gluten cross-contact unless specifically certified gluten-free. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
