Just Natural Organic Rye Flour 500g
Organic Rye Flour has a darker colour and more robust, slightly sour flavour than wheat flour, and is the traditional base for classic dense rye breads and Scandinavian-style crispbreads. It has less gluten-forming protein than wheat flour, so bread made purely with rye tends to be denser — many bakers blend it with wheat flour for a lighter, more open crumb while keeping some of rye's distinctive flavour. As it's made from rye, it does contain gluten, so it isn't suitable for a gluten-free diet. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar, it's a genuine store-cupboard essential for anyone baking traditional rye or Scandinavian-style bread. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
