Organic Steel Cut Oats are whole oat groats chopped into smaller pieces rather than rolled flat, giving a distinctively chewy, nubbly texture that holds up well through longer, slower cooking. They're the classic choice for traditional Irish and Scottish-style porridge, taking around 20-25 minutes to cook on the stovetop, or can be prepared overnight for a quicker morning bowl. Because they're less processed than rolled oats, they keep more of their natural bite and are popular with anyone who prefers a heartier, less mushy porridge. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar, they're a satisfying everyday breakfast staple. As with all oat products, there's a small risk of gluten cross-contact unless specifically certified gluten-free. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry cupboard.
