Body Biotics is built around soil-based organisms rather than the dairy-derived cultures used in most probiotics, which is the reason people seek it out specifically.

It supplies eight strains: Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactococcus lactis and Bifidobacterium bifidum. The formula contains no salt, sugar, yeast, artificial colours, preservatives, chemical solvents or fillers, and the capsule shell is hypromellose, so it suits vegetarians.

KIKI Health suggest starting with one capsule daily, taken thirty minutes before a meal with 250ml of water, and adding one more each week until you reach two or three a day, building to six if needed. Starting low and increasing gradually is the standard approach with soil-based organisms.

We stock this in 30 and 60 capsule sizes too. The 120 is the one to buy once you know the higher daily intake suits you, since at three a day the smaller pots empty quickly.

A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.

Begin by taking one capsule daily and increase each week with one capsule until 2-3 capsules are being taken daily.

Build up to 6 a day if required or as professionally directed.

For ongoing maintenance 2 – 3 capsules daily is suitable.

Caution: Do not take capsules with hot beverages. Not recommended for pregnant or lactating mothers.
