Omega 3 Ultra is the strongest fish oil Lamberts make, for people who would otherwise take two or three ordinary capsules to reach the same intake.

Each capsule supplies 1300mg of fish oil concentrate, providing 1040mg of omega-3 fatty acids, of which 715mg is EPA and 286mg is DHA. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart at a daily intake of 250mg, and DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision at the same intake. One capsule clears all three thresholds several times over.

Lamberts' directions depend on your diet: one capsule daily if you eat two portions of oily fish a week, or two to three daily with a meal if you eat little or none.

The shell contains bovine gelatin and sweet orange oil, with mixed tocopherols as an antioxidant. Compare the EPA and DHA figures rather than the total oil weight when weighing this against a cheaper 1000mg fish oil.
