Phosphatidyl serine is a phospholipid, one of the fats that make up cell membranes, and it is naturally concentrated in the brain.

Each tablet supplies 100mg of phosphatidyl serine together with 5mg of zinc. Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function. The phosphatidyl serine here is derived from soya, so the product contains soya and is not suitable if you avoid it.

Lamberts' dosing is in two stages: three tablets daily for the first four weeks, then one tablet daily thereafter for maintenance. That front-loading is deliberate, and it means the 60-tablet pack does not last as long at the start as the count suggests.

Tableted with cellulose, calcium carbonate, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate and stearic acid, with a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose coating.

Biocare offer phosphatidyl serine in a different format, though at a higher price per unit.

Contains soya. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children.

Tableted With:
Cellulose, Calcium Carbonate, Anti-caking Agents (Silicon Dioxide & Magnesium Stearate & Stearic Acid), Crosslinked Cellulose Gum, Tablet Coating (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerine).

Take 3 tablets daily for the first 4 weeks thereafter take 1 tablet daily for maintenance purposes.
These tablets are best taken with a meal.
