This is Lamberts' standard-strength fish oil in their largest pot, and the one to choose if you take omega-3 daily and want to buy it a few times a year rather than monthly.

Each capsule supplies 1100mg of fish body oil concentrate, providing 700mg of omega-3 fatty acids, of which 355mg is EPA and 237mg is DHA. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart at a daily intake of 250mg, which a single capsule meets.

Lamberts' directions are one to three capsules daily. At one a day this pot lasts six months.

The oil is a concentrate rather than plain fish body oil, which is why the EPA and DHA figures are higher than a typical 1000mg capsule. The shell contains bovine gelatin, with d-alpha tocopherol added as an antioxidant to keep the oil from oxidising.

Contains fish. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. If you take anticoagulant medication, speak to your doctor before starting fish oil.
