Magnesium Citrate 1480mg 240 Capsules

This is a plain, high-strength magnesium citrate with nothing else added.

Two capsules supply 1480mg of buffered magnesium citrate, providing 444mg of elemental magnesium. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal psychological function and to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.

Read the elemental number, not the headline one. The 1480mg on the front is the weight of the whole compound; the magnesium itself is 444mg, and a product quoting only the compound weight cannot be compared directly with one quoting both.

Buffered citrate is generally gentler on digestion than magnesium oxide, which is the cheap form used in most supermarket products.

Vitabright's directions are two capsules daily with food. They suggest taking it alongside food containing healthy oils or protein, which they say improves how much you absorb.

At two a day this tub of 240 covers four months.

444mg is a substantial daily amount. Cut it back if it loosens your stools, and do not add another magnesium product on top.
