Magnesium Complex 6-in-1 120 Capsules

Most magnesium supplements use one form. This uses several, with three supporting nutrients alongside.

Three capsules supply a 2500mg magnesium blend providing 485mg of elemental magnesium, drawn from magnesium glycinate, citrate and taurate among others, with 25mg of vitamin B6, 10mg of zinc and 25 micrograms of vitamin D3. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal psychological function, and vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

The elemental figure is the one to compare. A label quoting 2500mg is describing the whole blend; the magnesium itself is 485mg, and that distinction is where most magnesium comparisons go wrong.

Vitabright's directions are two capsules with breakfast and one with dinner.

Splitting it between breakfast and dinner rather than taking it all at once is deliberate.

That is a high daily amount of magnesium, so do not add another magnesium product on top without checking, and reduce the amount you take if it loosens your stools.

Take 2 capsules with breakfast and 1 capsule with dinner.

The dosage in this supplement is a safe supplementary amount, however some people prefer to take 1 capsule with breakfast and 1 capsule with dinner (2 capsules a day instead of 3). This gives a lower daily dose of 323mg of elemental magnesium.

To maximise absorption of magnesium, take it with protein and prebiotics (fruit and veg) and avoid taking iron supplements or lots of fibre at the same time. Unabsorbed magnesium can upset sensitive tummies.
