Melora
Manuka Honey 100+ MGO 500g

This is the gentlest Melora grade in the larger jar, and the one to buy if manuka is going on toast rather than being rationed by the teaspoon.

It carries 100+ MGO, which Melora state as equivalent to UMF 5+. The two scales measure different things, so the pair printed together is a useful reference point rather than a repetition. At this level the honey is recognisably manuka but mild, closer to a good wildflower honey than to the intense high grades.

Pure New Zealand manuka honey, and nothing else in the jar.

Buying 500g at the entry grade is usually better value than a small jar of something stronger, if you are going to use it daily rather than occasionally.

Melora also list this grade in 250g, and 300+ and 525+ jars if you want to move up the scale.

Not suitable for infants under twelve months. Honey is high in natural sugars.

Pure New Zealand manuka honey

For Consumption

Straight from the jar: Enjoy 1–2 tablespoons daily to support your immune system or as a natural energy boost.

In drinks: Stir into tea, warm milk, or water. Add a squeeze of lemon for an extra hit of vitamin C.

As a sweetener: Naturally sweeten smoothies, cereal, yogurt, or desserts.

With breakfast foods: Spread on whole-grain toast or drizzle over pancakes, granola, or muesli.

For Skin and Hair

Facial mask: Apply a thin layer to hydrate and nourish your skin.

Minor wounds and burns: Dab directly onto the affected area to help prevent infection and encourage healing.

Hair treatment: Blend with coconut oil, apply to damp or dry hair, leave for 30 minutes, then shampoo.

Other Uses

Cough and sore throat: A spoonful can help soothe irritation and ease coughing.
