Manuka Honey 300+ MGO 250g

Melora label this jar with both grading systems, which makes it a useful one to learn the numbers from.

It carries 300+ MGO, and Melora state the equivalent as UMF 10+. MGO measures methylglyoxal directly, in milligrams per kilogram, while UMF is an audited composite of several markers. Seeing the pair together on one label is the clearest illustration of how the two scales line up, since most producers print only one.

Pure New Zealand manuka honey, and nothing else.

At this grade the honey is firmly mid-strength: enough character to taste distinctly of manuka, without the price of the top grades. It suits daily use rather than occasional spoonfuls.
