Higher Nature
MSM Sulphur
- A natural organic sulphur compound
- Provides building blocks for amino acids
- Only limited amounts come from food
MSM is a naturally occurring organic sulphur compound, and dietary sources are limited, which is the usual reason people supplement it.
Each tablet supplies methyl sulphonyl methane, with lithothamnium calcareum, microcrystalline cellulose as a bulking agent, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate as anticaking agents, and a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose coating.
Higher Nature's directions are one to six tablets a day with meals, building up gradually. That is a wide range, and the building-up part matters: MSM is usually started low and increased over a week or two rather than begun at the top of the range.
Because the daily amount varies so much between users, work out cost per tablet rather than per pack when comparing.
Sulphur is present in the body's own amino acids, which is why MSM is grouped with structural supplements rather than with vitamins and minerals.
The tablets are large, which is worth knowing if you struggle with swallowing.
A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.
