This is a straightforward concentrated fish oil, and Natures Aid say where the fish came from, which not every brand does.

Each 1000mg capsule provides 180mg of EPA and 120mg of DHA, from wild pilchards and sardines caught off the South American coast. At 300mg of EPA and DHA combined, one capsule meets the 250mg daily intake at which EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.

Pilchard and sardine are small, short-lived species, which is why they are the usual source for fish oil rather than larger predatory fish.

Natures Aid's directions are one to three capsules a day with food. At one a day this pack lasts six months.

If you want a higher strength per capsule, the Lamberts and Solgar concentrates supply more EPA and DHA per softgel at a higher price.

Contains fish. Speak to your doctor before taking fish oil if you are on anticoagulant medication.

Take 1-3 capsules per day with food. Do not exceed the recommended intake.
