Manuka Honey 300 MGO 500g

This is the strongest grade Nelson Honey produce, in their large 500g jar.

The 300 MGO figure on the pack refers to methylglyoxal, the naturally occurring compound used to grade manuka, measured at a minimum of 300mg per kilogram of honey. MGO is a direct measurement of that compound, which makes it easier to compare between brands than the various proprietary scales; higher numbers indicate a more concentrated manuka.

There is one ingredient, and that is New Zealand manuka honey.

Nelson's honey comes from the Nelson region at the top of New Zealand's South Island, and has a distinct aroma and a darker, more caramelised flavour than lighter grades. Spread it, stir it into a hot drink, or take it from the spoon.

We also stock Nelson at 30 MGO and 100 MGO in the same 500g jar, both cheaper, if you want the flavour without the top grade.

Not suitable for infants under twelve months. Honey is high in natural sugars.

Pure New Zealand manuka honey

For Consumption

Straight from the jar: Enjoy 1–2 tablespoons daily to support your immune system or as a natural energy boost.

In drinks: Stir into tea, warm milk, or water. Add a squeeze of lemon for an extra hit of vitamin C.

As a sweetener: Naturally sweeten smoothies, cereal, yogurt, or desserts.

With breakfast foods: Spread on whole-grain toast or drizzle over pancakes, granola, or muesli.

For Skin and Hair

Facial mask: Apply a thin layer to hydrate and nourish your skin.

Minor wounds and burns: Dab directly onto the affected area to help prevent infection and encourage healing.

Hair treatment: Blend with coconut oil, apply to damp or dry hair, leave for 30 minutes, then shampoo.

Other Uses

Cough and sore throat: A spoonful can help soothe irritation and ease coughing.

Digestive health: Its natural properties may calm acid reflux and heartburn.

Oral care: Known to reduce plaque and support gum health thanks to its antibacterial effects.
