Just Natural Organic Panela, also known as Rapadura, is selected from trusted organic producers and made from unrefined cane sugar juice, boiled down and set without the spinning and refining process that separates molasses from white sugar. This gives it the full, rich sweetness of cane sugar along with the deeper, more complex flavour that the molasses naturally brings. Use it as a one-to-one substitute for brown sugar in baking, sauces and hot drinks, wherever a more traditional, less processed sweetener is wanted. Certified organic, it's a genuine wholefood sugar for anyone who prefers minimally refined ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, since it can harden or clump if exposed to moisture.
