This is chlorella as a loose powder rather than tablets, which works out considerably cheaper per gram.

It is organic chlorella with a cracked cell wall, and nothing else. Cracking the wall is essential rather than a refinement: chlorella's cellulose wall is indigestible, so uncracked material passes through largely unused.

KIKI grow theirs using filtered deep-ground water, and it is free from gluten and wheat.

Their guidance is to begin with two teaspoons or more in a glass of water or juice. Starting modestly and increasing is the usual advice with chlorella, which some people find takes adjusting to.

Powder suits anyone taking chlorella daily in any quantity. The equivalent amount as tablets runs to eight or ten at a time, so a 200g tub replaces a lot of swallowing.

It has a strong, distinctly green taste, so it is easier in juice or a smoothie than in plain water.

A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.
