This is organic turmeric root powder rather than a concentrated curcumin extract, and the difference matters when comparing prices.

Two capsules supply 1320mg of organic turmeric, 100mg of organic ginger and 20mg of organic black pepper powder, in a vegetable capsule shell.

Whole turmeric root contains roughly three percent curcuminoids, so 1320mg of root is not equivalent to 1320mg of a 95 percent extract. What you get here is the whole spice, ginger and pepper together, closer to a culinary preparation than a pharmaceutical one. Some people prefer that; others want the concentrate. They are genuinely different products.

Black pepper is included because piperine improves curcumin absorption, which is poor on its own.
