The calcium here comes from seaweed rather than from limestone, which is the whole basis of the product.

It supplies 1250mg of organic calcified seaweed, Lithothamnion, providing 400mg of calcium, 50 percent of the reference intake, in a plant cellulose capsule. Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.

Most calcium supplements use calcium carbonate, which is ground limestone and needs stomach acid to be absorbed. Calcified seaweed is a wholefood source, arriving with the trace minerals the algae took up alongside the calcium, and Cytoplan build their range on that principle.

Cytoplan's directions are one to two capsules daily, so this pack lasts between one and two months.

The panel figures are for the stated serving rather than per capsule, so check the pack if you take just one.
