This is plain organic wild yam root, with nothing else in the capsule.

The root is Dioscorea villosa, grown in India, and Fushi grind it fresh rather than using long-stored powder. There is no extract, no standardisation and no carrier: what is in the capsule is the root.

That simplicity is the case for it. Wild yam is often sold as part of a blend, where the amount is not stated separately and cannot be judged, or as a cream, where absorption is uncertain. A plain capsule of the root is at least a known quantity.

Fushi's directions are two capsules daily with warm water, on an empty stomach or just before bed, or as directed by a practitioner.

Wild yam is a traditional herb rather than one carrying an approved health claim, so what you are buying is the plant itself.
