Promensil is one of the longer-established red clover products, and this is the version formulated for the years after menopause rather than during it.

Each tablet supplies 100mg of red clover extract, standardised to 40mg of natural isoflavones, together with 500mg of calcium as calcium carbonate and 15 micrograms of vitamin D3. Calcium and vitamin D both contribute to the maintenance of normal bones, and vitamin D also contributes to normal muscle function.

The standardisation to 40mg of isoflavones is what separates this from a plain red clover extract: isoflavone content varies widely in unstandardised material, so a stated figure lets you compare products and repeat the same intake.

Their directions are one to two tablets daily with a meal, taken at around the same time each day.

Consistency is part of the instruction here rather than a suggestion.

Calcium Carbonate, Bulking Agent: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Red Clover (Trifolium Pratense) Extract, Stabiliser: Cross-linked Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, Tablet Coating (Glazing Agents: Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose, Polydextrose; Maltodextrin, Anti-Caking Agent: Talc, Medium Chain Triglycerides), Anti-Caking Agents: Magnesium Salts of Fatty Acids, Silicon Dioxide; Vitamin D (Cholecalciferol), Antioxidant: dl-a-Tocopherol.

Take 1-2 tablets daily with a meal, continuously at around the same time each day or as directed by your healthcare professional. Initially we recommend a minimum of 12 weeks intake.
