This is the largest pack of BioGaia's Protectis tablets, pairing their L. reuteri strain with vitamin D3.

Each tablet contains L. reuteri Protectis, the DSM 17938 strain, with vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol, in a base of isomalt and xylitol with orange flavouring and citric acid. It is free from gluten.

BioGaia work with a small number of specific, documented L. reuteri strains rather than assembling large multi-strain blends. DSM 17938 is the one that appears across most of their range, and naming the strain code is what allows one product to be compared with another.

Suitable from three years of age, taken at any time of day, with or without food.

Ninety tablets is three months at one a day, which is where this size earns its place against the smaller counts.

The tablets are sweetened with xylitol and isomalt rather than sugar, which matters for a product children suck or chew daily.

Isomalt may have a laxative effect if consumed in quantity.

Bulking agent (isomalt), sweetener (xylitol), L. reuteri Protectis® (L. reuteri DSM 17938), Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), orange flavouring and flavour enhancer (citric acid). Free from gluten, milk protein and lactose.
