Solgar L-Glutathione is a natural sulfur-bearing peptide formed from the linking of three amino acids: glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. It acts as an antioxidant and detoxicant and is also involved in amino acid transport across cell membranes.

Amino Acids are essential to health as they are the building blocks of protein. If you do not get enough essential amino acids from the diet then you will get ill as the body cannot manufacture them.
