Solgar Super Starflower Oil softgels each provide 300mg of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) from Cold-Pressed, Hexane Free Borage Oil. It is an Omega 6 fatty acid. GLA has the following benefits:

PRE-MENSTRUAL SYNDROME - GLA from Borage Oil has been shown to improve PMS headaches, low mood, irritability and bloating.

HEAVY PERIODS - Fatty acid imbalance may play a significant role in heavy menstruation.

BREAST HEALTH - Scientific studies have shown that Omega 6 fatty acids in the form of GLA from Borage Oil may be helpful in reducing the pain and tenderness associated with pre-menstrual breast pain.

HORMONE IMBALANCE - The hormone modulating effects of prostaglandins derived from essential fatty acids makes them particularly important if optimal hormonal health is to be achieved.
