Solgar Ubiquinol is the reduced, antioxidant form of Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) and one of the most powerful lipid soluble antioxidants available.

SOLGAR UBIQUINOL 100mg provides the reduced form of Coenzyme Q-10 (KanekaQH®). Ubiquinol has all the same benefits that have been established with Ubiquinone Coenzyme Q10, performing a supporting role in cardiovascular health and energy production.

Ubiquinol is also an important lipid-soluble antioxidant produced in the body. It helps to protect the mitochondria and its lipid membranes from the onslaught of free radicals which are by-products of energy production.

Ubiquinone requires conversion to Ubiquinol and under optimal conditions this conversion takes place back and forth many times a second as it carries out its role in energy production. However, Coenzyme Q10 levels in the body generally begin to decrease from the age of 20 and the conversion of Ubiquinone into Ubiquinol becomes less efficient.

Genetics also plays an important role and some people cannot optimally convert Ubiquinone to Ubiquinol in their cell membranes because of a genetic variation in the NQ01 gene. This is known as a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). People with this genetic variation, those who are over the age of 40 or those who are suffering from an age-related health condition, may benefit from taking Ubiquinol.

Softgel Capsule Shell: (gelatin (from bovine), vegetable glycerin (from palm kernel oil and coconut oil)), Olive Oil, Ubiquinol (as KanekaQH ®) (reduced form of CoQ-10), Emulsifier: soya lecithin, Antioxidant: ascorbyl palmitate, Colours: (caramel, titanium dioxide).
Free from: Yeast, wheat, gluten, dairy products, artificial flavours or preservatives, sugar, salt and starch.

As a food supplement for adults, take one (1) to two (2) softgels daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Do not exceed directions for use.
