RAW Manuka Honey KFactor 16 500g

This is Wedderspoon's premium grade manuka, in the larger jar. It is raw and unpasteurised, so it has not been heat-treated in the way most supermarket honey is.

Wedderspoon grade their honey with their own KFactor system rather than the more common MGO or UMF numbers. KFactor 16 is their higher grade, indicating a monofloral manuka from a high proportion of manuka nectar. Because the scales are not interchangeable, a KFactor number cannot be read directly against an MGO or UMF one, which is worth knowing when comparing jars.

The only ingredient is pure New Zealand manuka honey. Nothing is added and nothing is filtered out.

Eat it straight from the jar, spread it on toast, or stir it into tea or warm milk. It has a thick, creamy texture and a strong, slightly bitter finish that is much more pronounced than ordinary honey.

Not suitable for infants under twelve months. Honey is high in sugars, so keep an eye on how much you use.

For Consumption

Straight from the jar: Enjoy 1–2 tablespoons daily to support your immune system or as a natural energy boost.

In drinks: Stir into tea, warm milk, or water. Add a squeeze of lemon for an extra hit of vitamin C.

As a sweetener: Naturally sweeten smoothies, cereal, yogurt, or desserts.

With breakfast foods: Spread on whole-grain toast or drizzle over pancakes, granola, or muesli.

For Skin and Hair

Facial mask: Apply a thin layer to hydrate and nourish your skin.

Minor wounds and burns: Dab directly onto the affected area to help prevent infection and encourage healing.

Hair treatment: Blend with coconut oil, apply to damp or dry hair, leave for 30 minutes, then shampoo.

Other Uses

Cough and sore throat: A spoonful can help soothe irritation and ease coughing.

Digestive health: Its natural properties may calm acid reflux and heartburn.

Oral care: Known to reduce plaque and support gum health thanks to its antibacterial effects.
